A farm murder took place on the morning of 30 November 2021, at 07:30, on a farm just outside of Koppies, South of Sasolburg in the Free State province of South Africa. Johan Prinsloo (64) was shot dead when at least four attackers opened fire on him and one of his employees.
Preliminary investigation revealed that nothing was stolen from the scene.
After the attack the assailants fled.
Follow-up operations by all role players including the SAPS TRT from Sasolburg resulted in one attacker being shot dead.
A case of murder was opened for further investigation.
