A farm attack took place on 27 November 2020, on a farm in Verkykerskop, 40 km from Harrismith, in the Free State province of South Africa. Five attackers assaulted and tied up the workers. The attackers who could not gain entry to the home then opened fire, through the window, on a woman in the farmhouse. All three shots that were fired at her fortunately missed.

The woman raised the alarm that saw a swift response from farmers, farm watch, security companies and the police form Reitz. The attackers fled on foot. Tracks of the attackers were followed into the bush and all five attackers arrested. The attackers had been demanding money and firearms.
