A farm attack took place on 11 August 2019, between Bloemfontein en Ventersburg, in Verkeerdevlei, Free State province. A woman who was alone was attacked by an unknown number of attackers at 15:00 and assaulted, the attack was only discovered later in the day when a concerned person went to look for her. The home was ransacked and two firearms, a 9mm pistol and a shotgun were robbed.
The suspects then fled fled in her white Mahindra bakkie reg FZK 182 FS. It was reported that one of the attackers worked for her. Details of injuries to the woman are unknown and there is no other information available at this stage.
