Mr. C T Steyn (32) was attacked on his farm Swartfontein, situated in Warden on Sunday, March 5, by three suspects.
The suspects accessed the house and Steyn who was in bed was pounce on by the three who stabbed him in his chest, close to his heart.
The suspects fled with his vehicle, cell phones, cash, and firearms.
Steyn tried calling for help on an old phone but had signal problems, eventually his sister was alerted and called for help.
The farming community and police responded and Steyn was taken to hospital. Steyn is in a serious condition but stable. His mother is with him.
A search for the suspects began between Warden and Verkykerskop but no arrests have been made.
Steyn’ vehicle was recovered in Blue Gum Bush, Qwa-Qwa, recently.
The police are investigating the incident.
