A farm attack took place on 1 December 2019, at 22:00 in Marquard, Free State province. A security guard on the farm Reenen Ranch, was attacked, assaulted and then tied up. The attackers then stole tons of mealie seed and fertilizer. The quantity stolen would have to have been transported in at least a 5 ton truck or numerous vehicles.
There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating and local farmers have been on the look out in the area.
There have been no arrests.
