A farm attack took place between Senekal and Ficksburg on the farm Franschhoek, in the Free State on Tuesday 19 february 2019, at 21:35. Johan van Niekerk was attacked, severely assaulted and tied up. The attackers robbed his white Tata Bakkie with a trailer, reg: HB18VWGP, possibly with sheep on the back. The victim was only found the following morning tied up on the porch of his farm house.
