A farm attack took place on Sunday 20 November 2022, at about 10:00, on the farm Fairview, in the Bethlehem area of the Free State province in South Africa.

Mr. Sakkie Bell (67), was overpowered by two attackers on the farm after his fiancé and her brother had left to town at approximately 09:30. They arrived back home at 11:00 and found the door of the home open.

The safe was standing open and the firearms were removed.

They raised the alarm with the local neighbourhood watch who responded and searched for Mr. Bell.

Mr. Bell was found in the pigsty with his hands tied behind his back with wire. He had suffered head injuries and was transported to hospital.

Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
