A farm attack took place on Thursday 5 March 2020, at 18:30.on the farm Trommel in the Marquard district, Free State province of South Africa. Mrs Gilliam Van Rensburg, who is deep in her seventies, was attacked by three black males in the home on her farm after the dogs barked and she went to investigate.
She was assaulted and tied up by the attackers. The daughter of Mrs Van Rensburg arrived during the attack and saw something was wrong. The attackers fled when they realized they had been seen. The attackers fled on foot.
They stole three firearms from the house. There is no other information available at this stage.
