A violent farm attack took place on 23 December 2019, at 03:00 in Dewetsdorp, is a small town in the Free State province of South Africa. Gert and Joy Pienaar were attacked in their home by six attackers who violently assaulted the couple, robbed them and fled with firearms.
Local farmers and emergency personnel responded to the attack and searched the area. The couple were given medical attention, Gert was found with head wounds and covered in blood.The couple are severely traumatized after the brutality and assault.
There is no other information available at this stage. And there have been no arrests.
