When Pat Kuhn (73), woke up there were three black males next to her bed. She was attacked, tied up and robbed. The home invasion took place on Wednesday morning 8 January 2020, at her home in Flamingo Park, Welkom at around 03:45. The power went out at 04:00 due to load shedding but the attackers were organised and had torches with them.
Kuhn was hit in the face with a fist as the attackers wanted to know where the safe and the cash was kept. She told them that there is no safe but that there was money in the cupboard. The robbers tied her up and put a blanket over her head and ransacked the home.
Kuhn later managed to get free and pressed a panic button after which a security company arrived.
The matter was reported to Police but there have been no arrests.
