A 45-year-old male was arrested for dealing in dagga at Freedom Square just outside Bloemfontein. The Mangaung Metro Tactical Response Team operationalised intelligence received from Crime Intelligence Unit that led to the suspect’s arrest.

The team conducted a search of his residential premises and found dagga with an estimated street value of R45 000.00 stuffed inside a twenty litres paint bucket.

The members searched further and found another container with dagga, with estimated street value of R25 000.00.

A case of dealing in dagga was opened at Kopanong Police Station and the suspect is in police custody.

He will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 February 2022.
