Christmas Eve operation nets drug dealers, Clocolan

The Public Order Police Reaction Team rolling their sleeves to fight war against drug and dagga sellers in our towns and townships in Eastern Free State during Christmas Eve.

On 24 December 2021 the team members were busy with crime prevention at Clocolan-Hlohlolwane policing precinct. Apparently whilst patrolling around Hlohlolwane Township they received information from concerned community members about people allegedly selling drugs in the area.

They followed up information in which yielded positive results.

The 50-year-old woman was found in possession of 25 litre container with dagga to an estimated street value of R3000 and some cash stashed inside a case.

The 28-year-old of Sunflower Park was found with six 1litres of dagga containing 35 pokes, 24 dagga cigarettes sticks and some cash and two weighing scales.

The third suspect (33) of Dipotomaneng Section was found with 13 Crystal Meth drugs sachets and some cash in his possession and three dangerous weapons and a stainless steel knife.

All three suspects have been charged and seized items kept as exhibits.

They are expected to appear before the Clocolan Magistrate court on Tuesday, 28 December 2021 two facing charges of dealing in dagga and one for drugs and possession of dangerous weapons.
