On 20 December 2023 at about 14:10 three unknown suspects entered the business premises called Tasty Point Fish and fatally shot the manager the late Mr Nawaz Qamar (27), a Pakistan national on the neck. He collapsed and certified dead by paramedics inside the shop. Three African men were seen leaving the premises and sped off with a white Renault Clio sedan with GP number plates. A case of murder was registered for further investigation.
Manhunt was launched for these suspects until information was followed up which led to Frankfort Correctional Services where two suspects aged 34 and 52 years old were arrested for murder on the 27 December 2023.
They are still awaiting trials for bank card scams. The two suspects will appear on Friday, 29 December 2023 in Hennenman Magistrates’ Court.
