On Sunday, 12 November 2023 at about 05:30, Odendaalsrus Police receive a complaint about the body of a woman lying under the bridge next to Hospital Park in R30 road. On arrival, the body of a woman was found with multiple stab wounds on her head and body. A 34-year-old woman was certified dead at the scene by Emgency Medical Services personnel.
Preliminary investigation was conducted and a second woman was admitted at a hospital in Goldfields. Information led the SAPS members to a house in Extention 15, Bronville where a 65-year-old man was found busy cleaning the blood stains a black Toyota Yaris with FS registration numbers and a knive were also seized.
The second suspect, a 35-year-old foreign national was also arrested.
The third suspect is still at large and the two will appear soon in Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court.
