The two attackers accused of the violent and brutal murder of Brendin Horner (21) were, on 6 October 2020, remanded in custody by the Senekal magistrates court. They will appear again on 16 October 2020, where they are expected to apply for bail. The two accused aged 32 and 43 were arrested on Saturday 3 October 2020 by Senekal detectives at Fateng tse Ntho, in Paul Roux. Blood stained clothes and shoes were found and will be taken in for Forensic tests.

1000’s of people poured into Senekal on Tuesday 6 October 2020, in support of the Horner family and to protest against the ongoing violent farm attacks and murders in South Africa. The message from the protesters was clear – ‘This Stops Now’.

Brandon was found tied to a pole with a rope tied around his neck, he had been tortured and violently murdered, his body was found by his father and girl friend who had been out searching for him at De Rots farm on Friday 2 October 2020.
