Police are searching for three armed suspects following a house robbery on a farm on Sunday, 18 January 2026, at approximately 17:55.
A 56-year-old farmer was ambushed upon arriving home in his white Toyota bakkie. Three unknown males, armed with a firearm, a knife, and a wooden stick, assaulted him and forced him into the farmhouse.
The suspects demanded and took money, then forced the victim to open his safe. They stole a “Baby Brown” pistol, a revolver, and a shotgun.
The victim was tied with ropes. The suspects fled in the farmer’s white BMW from the garage.
The victim freed himself and sought help. He was treated at a local hospital for a stab wound to his thumb and discharged.
The stolen BMW was later found abandoned on the R708 road near Clocolan. No arrests have been made. The investigation continues.
