The ANC Secretary General, Ace Magashule, remains in a dark cloud of accusations that he may be involved in more corruption scandals. Ace and his comrades are accused of involvement in tender contract awards from the Free State Premier, some of these tenders have been awarded to companies with which Ace is also involved.

It appears that the contracts amount to about R1.47 billion out of the Free State budget.

The ANC apparently said Magashule should not use the party as a platform to defend his case, but the Secretary-General has taken no notice.

Observers find it strange that ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa was still keeping such a person in a senior office.
