2 Rhino bulls killed and one injured, Geduldfontein farm, Steynsrus

A case of Rhino Poaching under the Biodiversity Act 10/2004 Section 57, carrying out restricted activities involving species listed as threatened Rhino Poaching was registered after two rhino bulls were killed and one injured in Geduldfontein farm, Steynsrus.

The farmer alleged that three white rhino bulls were shot and two of them dehorned by unknown poachers between Tuesday, 17 and Wednesday, 18 August 2021.

One bull survived though, wounded in the head and was not dehorned.

The value of the two killed rhino bulls is R800 000.

The suspects are still at large and the search has ensued as investigation continues.
