Free State woman attacked and raped in her home
No to rape.

A woman was attacked and raped in her home in Bloemfontein, Free State police said on Sunday.

Shortly after her husband left the house in the suburb of Generaal de Wet between 02:00 and 05:00 on Saturday, a man gained entry through the bathroom window, said police spokesperson, Captain Chaka Marope. The couple’s two children, aged two and six, were asleep at the time.

The man threatened her with a knife in her bedroom. He raped her, stole computer equipment, a cellphone and a jewellery box, and fled.
No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the crime should contact Detective Warrant Officer Snyman on 082 455 6081.
