John Block, former heavyweight in the ANC’s application for appeal against his sentence was rejected by the Constitutional Court.

He has been found guilty of fraud and money laundering, and has been imprisoned for 15 years. He and the businessman, Christo Scholtz, will report this week for their mandatory time in prison.

Both were involved in various lease agreements with state entities and departments. Block received R228,000 and R500,000 for his share in the award of the contracts.
