The ethical committee of parliament announced that action against 14 MPs is possible as they did declare their financial interests as determined by the rules.

These people had seven days grace to explain why they have not declared their “gifts” or other receipts.

Cyril Ramaphosa is leading with shares of more than R132 million and 32 properties he owns.

It is not clear whether he had submitted his statement, but it seems as if some MPs’ offenses were “quietly” allowed.

The names of the members of parliament have not been announced and presents the feeling among some opposition members that “transparency” is not applied.
