A domestic worker and three men accused of killing a 60-year-old woman in a farm robbery have appeared in the Thabazimbi Magistrate’s Court, Limpopo police said on Wednesday.
Dickson Moyo, 31, Amos Munyau, 26, Rebecca Monyeki, 38, and Silas Ndlovu, 44, appeared on Tuesday and would remain in custody until their next appearance on October 8, Colonel Ronel Otto said.
They face charges of murder and house robbery. Police arrested them over the weekend. Moyo and Munyau were caught in Soweto.
Monyeki and Ndlovu, her husband, worked for Petro Res, 60, and her husband Bruno, 70. The couple and their friend Marie Barnard were attacked in their home on the Motlopi Lodge game farm on Friday, September 18.
Bruno Res was shot in the arm when he could not remember the code to a smaller, walk-in safe. Petro was shot in the head.
The three were locked into the walk-in safe, where they spent about 16 hours before neighbours came to investigate and heard their cries for help.
The killers stole five firearms, including hunting rifles. Police were searching for five more people wanted in connection with the crime.
