The airports in Port Elizabeth, Kimberley, Cape Town and East London must all be changed now.

We saw this coming when Malema demanded at Winnie Mandela’s funeral that Cape Town airport be named after her. At least we have noticed that Malema is the new policy maker of the ANC.

Now there is a pressure group of the Khoisan people also involved in the debate. And this pressure group will hand over a petition to claim that Cape Town Airport name be changed to “Krotoa International Airport.” It will be the world’s first airport, bearing the name of a woman who was well known in the oldest writings as a drunkard and a woman of loose morals.

The other suggestion is, of course, that it is named after Winnie Madikizela Mandela, the woman who will be remembered for necklaces and matches.

It’s a matter of concern what standards the New South Africa is setting for these people to be glorified.

What about about the enormous cost of this ridiculous idea? Just changing the name of Johannesburg International to OR Tambo not so long ago cost about R5 million just for new signposts and direction boards.

Proposals for suitable names can be submitted to the Airports Company of SA until Wednesday afternoon at 17:00 by sending an email to the following address: [email protected]
