Former Afrikaner institution victim of political correctness

Die Vryburger

Another former Afrikaner institution fell for political correctness.

The Afrikaans Trade Institute (ATI), founded in 1942, no longer exists and is now the Small Business Institute (SBI). The existing members of the AHI voted for the downfall.

The focus now moves to smaller businesses, which no longer have to pay membership fees. Apparently, the intention is to involve the so-called informal business community, the street hawkers.

It is planned to establish a trust of R50 million. However, attempts to get money from large institutions were apparently unsuccessful.
