FF Plus launches campaign to keep the ANC out of the Western Cape

In the runup to next year’s local government elections, the FF Plus has launched a campaign which aims to keep the ANC out of the position to govern in every single city council in the province and to establish a functional government, which the FF Plus will be a part of.

The campaign was launched on Wednesday evening 23 September 2020, during a meeting that was held in Knysna in preparation for the local government elections that will probably take place sometime between August and November 2021.

The event was well attended and the opportunity was used to establish a branch with a dynamic management team.

The gist of the FF Plus’s message to the meeting’s attendees was that the upcoming municipal elections must be used to oust the ANC from every city council in the Western Cape where the party is still in control so as to ensure that it no longer holds the reins.

Over the last 26 years, the ANC has demonstrated that corruption is an inextricable part of its governance culture and that incompetence and cadre deployment have, similarly, become the norm in its poor style of service delivery.

The Western Cape is too important and too valuable to tolerate any form of ANC government in the province.

The time has come to place the city councils in the Western Cape under stable and fully functional local government. The FF Plus plans to play a significant role in this government and is willing to form coalitions with credible coalition partners to achieve this goal.
