A female liquor store owner chased a gang of seven men after allegedly robbing her shop in Orkney, North West.
“A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident,” Kelebogile Moleko, spokesperson for the North West police said. “He was part of a group of seven men who entered the shop on Saturday afternoon, April 11, 2015, and threatened the owner and two customers with a gun.”
She said the group has tied up the three women with a cable and stole liquor and cash. They fled in a dark-red coloured Ford Tracer with no number plates from the scene.
“The owner could free herself, and chased the suspects,” Moleko added. “She fired three shots in their direction with her own gun. The driver lost control of the car and hit a wall. The rest of the group ran away. ”
