A second farm attack that have taken place during the day, occurred on Monday just outside Viljoenskroon. It follows a similar recent attack near Bothaville.
The six armed attackers attacked an office lady in her office on the farm. They tied her up along with two other farm workers. Their search for money was fruitless and they only stole cell-phones. They drove away with the office lady’s car. It was later found abandoned along the road.
The investigating officer, Jaco Mylott says that the phone was checked and that the signals were traced into Tumahole. The people who were detained by the robbers, was not injured.
“The attacks during the day are a warning to farmers to be vigilant during the day as well. Watchdogs are sometimes locked up during the day and alarms are not always activated, “he said
