A harsh altercation broke out in the parliamentary portfolio committee on trade and industry after the EEF’s Floyd Shivambu laid all problems in the banking industry at the door of whites.
This led to advocate. Anton Alberts of FF+ seriously objecting to the comments and accused Shivambu of thumb sucking stories when it comes to whites.
The chairperson of the committee, Mrs. Joanmariae Fubbs, agreed that there should not be generalizing. She also stated that there are a large number of poor whites who cannot be ignored.
“I told the committee that this kind of generalizations will have a polarizing effect on the country and people of all races must be careful not to make negative generalizations about people of a different color. It creates an environment where people are set against each other,” said Adv. Alberts.
