On the afternoon of 20 July 2021, police arrested a 27-year-old male for murder at Rhamra Location, Willowvale.
The arrest comes after police were called to a scene where a 32-year-old female was stabbed to death.
It is alleged that the suspect was with the deceased and her children when he asked the children to go to the shop to buy cigarettes. When the children came back they found their mother lying on the floor with stab wounds.
On police arrival they quickly investigated and arrested the suspect.
The motive for the murder forms part of the investigation.
The suspect is due to appear at the Willowvale Magistrate court on 22 July 2021.
