A 43 year old woman, Maritza van der Linde, was stabbed to death in a pharmacy in Joubertina in the Eastern Cape on Tuesday 25 February 2020 at 08:45. She was forced by the armed man into the office at the pharmacy where her mother works. The other staff were ordered out of the pharmacy by the attacker.
Maritza’s mother was then stabbed in the groin and then Maritza was stabbed to death. A 46 year old suspect was later arrested. The motive is not known at this stage.
