Dutywa Police are investigating a rape case of a 79-year-old woman. It is alleged that the victim was sleeping alone at her home at Willow Locality, Ngcingwana Village, Dutywa on Sunday, 12 April 2020. At about 00:10 on the night in question the victim heard footsteps inside her room.
She asked who was the person and a male voice replied that she must keep quiet. The suspect undressed the victim and raped her. The suspect later left through the door.
