A 78 year old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds on her upper body at Nkalane locality in Bityi on the 23 March 2018 at about 16h00.
It is alleged that the deceased who was staying alone was last seen on Wednesday the 21 March. It is further alleged that she was found on her bed in a pool of blood by a neighbour who saw the deceased goat dead near the gate, and when knocking at the door there was no response he then raised alarm to other neighbours who decided to open the door that was half closed.

“We condemn the senseless killings of our elderly women. We will leave no stone unturned to bring to book those that are terrorising them,” said the Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza.
