Cwayita Nolundi Nunwana, was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment for attempted murder by the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on 24 April 2018.
Three years is suspended for five years on condition that the accused is not convicted of attempted murder or assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm committed during the period of suspension.
It is alleged that Nunwana, 35 years old poured acid all over the body and face of her husband after a lengthy argument in their NU3 home on Sunday, 21 May 2017.
