Ten more suspects aged between 31 and 75 years old have been arrested in Sada Township, Whittlesea on 28 August 2020 following the murder of a 23-year-old man who was allegedly forcefully taken from his home and murdered at the nearby school on 26 August 2020.
The suspects have also been linked to many cases other reported from the same area during month of August 2020 in the same area. The cases include murder, assault GBH and malicious damage to property.
All suspects will appear before Whittlesea Magistrate Court on Monday 31 August 2020 for charges ranging from murder, assault GBH and malicious damage to property.
“These arrests must send a stern message to all those involved in criminal activities but claiming to be doing justice that police will continue to reaffirm the authority of the State and lawlessness will not be tolerated”, said Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Liziwe Ntshinga.
