Weapons stolen from police station

Die Vryburger

The police, who have a duty to protect society, are struggling to protect their own assets.

Peddie police station in the Eastern Cape was robbed of nine 9mm pistols, twelve R5 assault rifles, six shotguns, and three Beretta PX4 Storm pistols.

The burglars gained access through the roof of the weapon unit.

The events took place shortly after the group police chief for Grahamstown, Brig. David Kanuka, visited the police station for an inspection.
