Members of Burgersdorp’s visible policing continuous efforts to prevent and detect crime yielded positive results, when a wanted housebreaking suspect was arrested.
On the 11 October 2022 the members were working night shift, when they received positive information about a notorious suspect who was wanted by the detectives.
The members proceeded to the identified house at Thembisa and upon further investigation, a 9mm magazine and stolen property including clothes and a cellphone were found in the house.
A 16-year-old suspect was arrested and will be charged with the possession of illegal ammunition and housebreaking.
Detectives are probing his possible links to other housebreaking cases in Burgersdorp.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
