A 30 year old Walmer woman will appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrates’ court on 13 December 2018, on a charge of robbery, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
According to police information, the woman and the complainant live together in Community Road Walmer. It is alleged that at about 11:00, the complainant was cleaning her 7,65 pistol when the suspect(her friend) grabbed the firearm from her and ran away.
The complainant went to the Walmer police station and reported the robbery. At about 16:00, Walmer members received information about the possible whereabouts of the suspect.
She was arrested at a house in Moore Street Walmer with the firearm in her possession.
