A 22 year old man has been arrested after a farm attack in Joubertina, Eastern Cape, where an elderly farmer (74) was seriously assaulted with a snooker cue on 25 March 2018 at 07:00.
Two attackers gained entrance to the farmhouse through a window, severely assaulted the elderly farmer and fled the scene with a handbag.
A 25 year old suspect, Carools Tamboer, who was arrested a few days after the attack has already been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to the attack.
The second arrest came after police, who were on a routine patrol on the R62, observed a suspicious person. After investigation he was linked to the attack and robbery.The suspect has also been linked to another housebreaking on 27 March 2018 in Joubertina.
