Vispol members together with Queenstown K9 and Flying Squad arrested suspects in possession of different kind of ammunition and one pistol
Members received information of suspects who were carrying firearms from Cathcart proceeding to Whittlesea. Without hesitating, members responded to the information.
Two vehicles were spotted by members and stopped just outside Cathcart. Seven suspects between 28 and 48 years were arrested and vehicles were also impounded. All suspects will appear before Cathcart Magistrate Court on Monday 14 October, facing charged of possession of pistol and live rounds of ammunition.
Cluster Commander Major General Funeka Siganga commended members for the swift action.
