Police are investigating a business robbery case after three armed men hit a retail store in Uitenhage. on 11 January 2019, around 16:30, it is alleged that three men armed with firearms stormed into a retail store in Caledon Street, Uitenhage.

Suspects allegedly threatened everyone that were at the store and forced them to move to the back of the store. Suspects stole cell phones, jewellery, cash and some clothing items before fleeing the scene.

At this stage, it is unknown whether suspects used a getaway vehicle during the incident. The suspects are still at large, and no person was injured during the incident. Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Wouter Verwey at 084 846 2273 or to share information via Crime Stop 08600 10111.
