Seeking to attain their set goal of eradicating the proliferation of firearms in the hands of those determined to commit crime in our society, Mdantsane Operation Crime Combat (OCC) members apprehended two suspects, 25 and 26 year old respectively for possession of unlicensed firearm, possession of drugs, possession of possible stolen goods.
Both suspects were found in possession of unlicensed firearm pistol, magazine, four full mandrax tablets, twenty nine dagga booties, five knives, four cellphones, seven tobacco 20’s, possible stolen goods and a pliers in their shack at Gwiqi informal settlement, Potsdam.
The firearm will be sent to ballistics to determine if it was not used in the commission of crime.
The suspects are due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court soon, for possession of unlicensed firearm, possession of drugs, possession of possible stolen goods.
