Police are committed to reduce contact crimes by arresting those behind this scourge of crime.
On 13 July 2017, Police at Kwaaiman have arrested a 30-year-old man after a 33-year-old woman was stabbed and hacked to death by two unknown panga wielding men at her home at Ngojini Locality in Kwaaiman near Mqanduli.
It is alleged that the two men arrived while the woman was asleep together with her 65-year-old mother and her six siblings aged between two and twelve years old .
The rondavel in which they were sleeping was set alight and no other injuries were sustained.
