Dedication and determination by Kareedouw Detectives lead to the recovery of stolen property and arrest of two suspects shortly after a case of House Breaking and Theft was reported.

This follows after police investigated a case of housebreaking and theft where a 43 inch television, 2 x Lenovo laptops, 3 x fitness watches, jewellery, clothing, binoculars, several bags and other items were stolen on Saturday, 06 January 2024.

Thorough investigation by Kareedouw Detectives led them to receive reliable information on the whereabouts of a possible suspect who is allegedly involved in the housebreaking.

Acting on information received police searched four (04) houses and the majority of the stolen property was recovered. Two suspects aged 31 and 36 have been arrested and stolen property to the value of more than R 90 000-00 was recovered.

The suspects are due to appear before Humansdorp Magistrate court soon on charges of possession of stolen property and housebreaking and theft.

Sarah Baartman District Commissioner Major General Zolani Xawuka applauded the members for their dedication and swift action taken in operationalizing information received. He further appreciated the job done by communities in sharing valuable information as this sends a strong message that we are together in the fight against crime.
