In our concerted efforts to fight crime, members of the Elliot K9 Unit and Barkly East Detective Unit conducted a joint operation after a series of Housebreaking cases were reported at the station.
An intelligence driven operation was successfully conducted and led to arrest of two notorious suspects aged between 18 and 29 after the premises was searched and stolen items were recovered including 8 cellphones and flat screen TV.
The suspects are detained at Barkly East holding cells awaiting their first appearance in court.
The Elliot Cluster Commander, Colonel Matshediso Gezani commended the quick reaction by a joint operation and the recovery of stolen items. She also thanked the community for working together with the SAPS in the fight against crime.
