Two hospital cleaners nearly killed a patient in the Elizabeth Donkin hospital in Port Elizabeth after eavesdropping on a conversation about gang activities.
The 22-year-old patient was found in a room after the cleaners dropped off the keys with a security guard.
This is the second incident of the same nature.
The chief executive officer, Jaline Kotze, resigned in 2016 after she was attacked.
