Three women arrested for defrauding cash loan business, KWT

King Williams Town tracing team members were on duty and arrested three females aged between 23 and 31 years from Mdantsane.

The arrest comes after police were called to a business place at Alexandra Road, King William’s Town where three females were planning to defraud a cash loans. Three females allegedly went to a cash loan to apply for a loan with defrauded bank statements and bank cards. When they were questioned further it transpired that these three African females printed these bank statements at a certain internet cafe in King Williams Town.

The quick response led to an arrest and these suspects will be charged for fraud. Police are continuing with the investigation and more arrests are imminent

The trio will appear at King Williams Town Magistrate Court on Monday 21 May 2018.

The Station Commander of King Williams Town, Colonel Nomvuyo Mrwebi appreciates the working relationship between the community and the police in fighting crime in our communities and also thanked the community for the valuable information which led to the arrest of the suspect.

He also encouraged the community members to report the criminals and/or criminal activities to the police on Crime Stop 08600 10111, Crime Line 32211 or the nearest police station.
