Two men, 27 and 29 years old were arrested by members of Provincial TRT after being found in possession of unlicensed firearms and rounds of ammunition at Sithaleni loc, Gqukunqa A/A, Sulenkama during an intelligence driven operation concentrating on wanted suspects on the night of 8 July 2019.
The two was also wanted for two Mount Frere business robberies that occurred in May and June 2019. The firearms will be sent for ballistic testing.
And another 27 year old man was arrested during the same operation at Gwadana loc Maqhubini A/A in Sulenkama after he was a wanted suspect for a business robbery that occurred in Mount Frere in May 2019.
They all will be profiled to establish if they can be linked to other crimes. They will appear before Qumbu and Mount Frere Courts soon.
