Crime Intelligence Unit members received information about a group of people who are involved in theft of TLB machines.
A Task Team was formed comprising of K9 Unit, Flying Squad, Crime Prevention Unit and Operational Command Center members. Information was followed up and a vehicle, a Toyota bakkie with GP registration was spotted and the vehicle was pursued.
Two suspects aged between 35 and 40 years were arrested and three managed evade arrest. Two vehicles and a trailer were confiscated and a bakkie was positively identified as being stolen at Kleinbulhoek.
All suspects were detained and will appear before Queenstown Magistrate’s Court soon.
The Cluster Commander, Major General Funeka Siganga commended the members for their dedication in the fight against crime.
