Mthatha SAPS is investigating attempted murders cases after a taxi owner and his wife were shot and injured on Monday evening at Marhambeni at about 21:00.
It is alleged that the victims approached their home when they were attacked by two unknown gunmen.
The man (42) and his wife (32) were both shot and injured.
They were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Their 2-year-old child was unharmed.
