Three suspects between the ages of 26 and 43 years were arrested by the East London Tracking Team after a foreign national was kidnapped.
It is alleged that on Friday, 17 November 2023 the victim was kidnapped from his warehouse in North End in East London. The Tracking Team immediately mobilised and began the search for the victim. The suspects were found with the victim at Nontlazana in East London. Two vehicles that were used to commit the crime and two 9mm pistols with 28 live rounds of ammunition was recovered.
The victim was also returned home safely without any harm. The suspects appeared before East London Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 November 2023 on charges of kidnapping. Two suspects were also charged for conspiracy to kidnapping.
